Control voltage

Control Voltage, or CV, is like the secret sauce of modular synthesis. It’s the electrical signal used to control parameters like pitch, volume, and modulation in analog synthesizers. Unlike MIDI, which uses digital signals, CV is all about the analog world, where voltages control the behavior of various modules in your setup. It’s the OG way of connecting modules, letting you create complex, evolving sounds by routing and manipulating voltage signals. CV is at the heart of the modular synthesis experience, in fact pretty much all signals in modular synthesis including audio are CV. Everything is CV.
