Join us for the New York Modular Society’s 5-Year Anniversary on September 28, 2024, at Culture Lab in Long Island City. Don’t miss out on great music and good vibes!

Hello out there. If you don’t know me personally or haven’t checked out the Knobulism About page, you might not know that I’m one of the founders of the New York Modular Society. I ran the community with two other amazing people for over four years before leaving New York last fall. During that time, I was fortunate enough to make many close friends and listen to a ton of talented artists. NYMS was a huge part of my life, and I feel incredibly lucky for the experience.

This weekend, on September 28, 2024, the New York Modular Society is celebrating its 5-Year Anniversary and Expo at Culture Lab, 5-25 46th Ave, Long Island City. A few months back, I was invited to play live, and I’ve returned to NYC for a short trip to enjoy the festival and hopefully make a few folks smile with some music.

If you’re in the area, you should come—it’s gonna be great! Come find me; I’d love to chat.

Jason, aka Dysonant, is the voltage-drunk chaos engine behind Knobulism and a co-founder of the New York Modular Society. Fueled by ADHD and tangled in a mass of patch cables, he translates modular nonsense into actual sentences (barely). Armed with a Eurorack case that may or may not be a portal to another dimension, he makes music that sounds like a robot having an existential crisis in a cave full of lasers.
